Unit tasks
The Crisis and Disaster Management Unit at the College operates according to the national system for crisis management in three stages as follows:
Role and tasks of the unit committees
First: Safety and Work Environment Security Committee
Tasks of the committee
- Preparing protection and safety plans for the College
- Developing emergency and evacuation plans with the implementation of scenarios that simulate how to act in the event of a crisis
- Ensuring the functionality and compliance of firefighting systems and their compliance with specifications and securing the College
- Continuous communication and cooperation with the Defense and Civil Protection Unit at the university and holding training sessions
Second: Development, Awareness and Media Committee Tasks of the committee
- Working to spread awareness of safety and security issues through seminars and educational lectures
- Preparing educational courses related to implementing and applying the specifications contained in the Defense and Civil Protection regulations for various activities at the College
-Enhancing the efficiency of the unit’s employees and encouraging them to attend specialized training sessions
- Providing accurate information and data within a framework of complete transparency
Third: Occupational Health and First Aid Committee Tasks of the committee
- Preparing preventive programs
- promoting health awareness, throughout the college community


The role of the unit
- The role and responsibilities of the Crisis and Disaster Management Unit at the College are structured according to the national crisis and disaster management framework and divided into several phases:
- First: The first stage: Pre-crisis/emergency event, in which:
- - Planning, prediction/anticipation of crises and disasters that are likely to occur in the short/medium/long term
- - Preparing plans and drawing scenarios to resolve crises and confront disasters
- - Taking preventive measures to prevent the occurrence of the crisis or disaster
- - Preparing to deal with events such as training individuals and maintaining equipment
- - Spreading cultural awareness of crisis and disaster management and holding training workshops to raise the level of efficiency of College employees in
- this field
- - Developing monitoring and early warning mechanisms in the field of crisis and disaster management
- - Equipping an operations room for crisis and disaster management equipped with appropriate communication devices
- Second: The stage of confrontation, response and containment
- - Implementing the plans and scenarios that were previously prepared and trained on
- - Implementing confrontation and relief work of all kinds according to the type of crisis
- - Carrying out emergency services work
