Unit of measurement and evaluation
Introduction to the unit
The Measurement and Evaluation Unit specializes in evaluating university performance at the college level by building the necessary tools for this, whether they are performance indicators, questionnaires, standards, or others, and comparing university performance with international standards in the fields of education, learning, scientific research, and community service, and urging academic and administrative bodies to improve performance in accordance with international practices.
Vision of unity
Evaluation and measurement are considered the cornerstone on which the process of development and renewal is based. It serves as a device for detecting weaknesses and strengths in the learning and teaching process, and introducing improvements to it, developing it, and renewing it. The process of measurement and evaluation is an important element of the educational process, and is characterized by its continuity and comprehensiveness, as it takes into account the different aspects of growth, from cognitive, motor, and emotional aspects, as it creates a balance in the development of the student’s personality.

- The measurement unit works to ensure the quality of teaching and learning based on an attempt to achieve the principle of justice and educational transparency among students, and to transform the cognitive vision of faculty members into performance methods that contribute to an effective evaluation of the educational process.
Unit objectives
- The Measurement and Evaluation Unit seeks to collect and analyze data related to the processes of education, scientific research, and community service, with the aim of determining the degree of achievement of the university’s strategic objectives, and making decisions regarding them to enhance the strengths, address the weaknesses, and provide conditions for integrated growth through reorganizing and enriching the educational environment at the university.
Unit tasks
The Student Measurement and Evaluation Unit performs the following tasks:
1-Ensuring that the established examinations are consistent with the university’s examination system and meet the necessary standards, in coordination with the various academic departments that carry out technical work in this field.
2- Issuing statistics and periodic reports on the status of evaluation and measurement at the college.
3- Issuing periodic reports on complaints and petitions submitted by students related to evaluation and measurement.
4-Ensure that the rest of the evaluation and measurement work is carried out according to scientific principles and regulations governing that.
5- Coordinating the work of question banks for the selected courses, ensuring good management of the construction process and quality control, and cooperating with the competent department at the center to implement this.
- 9-Working to spread the culture of evaluation and measurement in the college.
