Training Course: Forensic and Criminal Evidence

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Amal Lutfi, Dean of the Faculty of Law; Prof. Osama Hamza, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Affairs; and Dr. Muhammad Abu Hashima, Director of the Legal Consultation Center, the activities of the first day of the training course on Forensic Medicine and Criminal Evidence commenced on Monday, November 20, at 10:00 a.m.
The day began with a lecture titled "Poisons and Drugs from a Forensic Medicine Perspective", delivered by Dr. Mohamed Mustafa, an expert in toxicology and a member of the Supreme Committee of the National Observatory for Addiction. Dr. Mustafa addressed the most pressing challenges facing both the forensic and legal sectors in combating drug proliferation, highlighted recent methods for detecting toxins and drugs, and discussed the impact of drug abuse on crime rates and the role of forensic medicine in uncovering drug-related crimes.
The second session featured a lecture entitled "The Role of Forensic Medicine in Criminal Evidence", presented by Dr. Adel Abdullah Al-Bari, Director of the Forensic Medicine Department. Dr. Al-Bari emphasized the essential role of forensic medicine in solving crimes and elaborated on the collaboration between the Forensic Medicine Authority and criminal investigation agencies. He also detailed the procedural sequence in criminal investigations and illustrated key forensic responsibilities with practical case examples.
Due to the students' high level of engagement and interest in the topic, the course was extended until 3:00 p.m. to allow for further discussion and completion of the lecture content.
Note: At the conclusion of the session, participating students proposed the inclusion of a Forensic Medicine course as part of the official curriculum at the Faculty of Law.

Report on the first day of the English contract drafting course
Under the supervision of His Excellency Prof. Dr. Amal Lutfi, Dean of the Faculty of Law, Helwan University, and Prof. Dr. Osama Hamza, Acting Vice Dean of the College for Community Service and Environment Affairs, and Dr. Muhammad Abu Hashima, Director of the Legal Consultation Center. The activities of the first day of the training course on drafting contracts in the English language began in a hall The court at the Faculty of Law, Helwan University, at 10:30 am on Monday, October 30th, witnessed a large turnout of students and fruitful discussions and interaction with the lecturers.
The first training session dealt with the stages of preparing contracts and legal drafting techniques, with a focus on the most important legal terms and their use in contracts, common errors in writing contracts, and the reasons for invalidation or cancellation of the contract, with the help of practical issues.
The second training session dealt with the types of contracts and all relevant documents, with application to corporate contracts, criteria for distinguishing between those contracts, and mechanisms for benefiting from artificial intelligence techniques in preparing contracts and ensuring their validity.
The lectures on the first day of training extended beyond the specified time due to the students’ desire to participate in the discussion and to ensure full benefit from the lecturer’s expertise.
