Features and conditions of the French Language Department

Program Features:

Faculty members with scientific degrees from French universities.
Language of study: 51% of the subjects are in English, 49% in Arabic.
Grades: A, B, C, D
Study according to the credit hour system.
There is a summer semester to study subjects that have been failed, postponed, or from the next year.
Reducing the gap between the usual skills of law graduates and the requirements of the labor market by teaching courses on the principles of scientific research, training in legal drafting and contract writing, and acquiring French legal language skills and the principles of legal translation.

Admission Requirements:

The French Language Legal Studies Program accepts Egyptian students who have obtained a high school diploma or its equivalent from Egypt or abroad, or those whose curricula are taught in a foreign language, provided that their total score in French is not less than 80% of the final grade. The College Council may accept applications for admission to the program submitted by students who meet the minimum admission requirements for law schools determined by the Supreme Council of Universities without being bound by the condition of obtaining a score of 80% of the final grade in French in the event that the numbers that the College Council decides to accept into the program are not complete each year.
Students may be accepted according to the total of the high school diploma, and in the event of a tie in the total, preference is given to the highest score in French.
It is not permissible to accept the transfer of remaining students to repeat or dismissed from the same college or from other colleges.
It is permissible to accept incoming students who have obtained a high school diploma or its equivalent from another country according to the order of their grades in accordance with the rules established in the previous courses.
A student may not be transferred to the Arabic language bachelor’s program except in the event of failure, and transfer is absolutely not permitted between the French and Arabic language programs in the third or fourth year.
